What are Dermal Fillers?
Made from complex sugar chains, also known as hyaluronic acid, these injections attract moisture and provide hydration for naturally looking results. Available in different densities to enhance different parts of the face. Areas such as the lips require a softer product to ensure the results are subtle but also feel natural. However, areas that need more support like the cheeks, a thicker product should be used.
Swelling is normal post-treatment and will generally subside over 2 weeks. A Healing LED Facial will assist with reducing inflammation. Your results will emerge 2 – 4 weeks after the procedure and depending on the area treated as well as the type of filler used, it can then last between 6 and 18 months. During your consultation, a more accurate estimate will be disclosed.
The Australian therapeutic goods administration (TGA) guidelines do not allow the use of specific medical product or brand names on the internet. As we cannot disclose the individual products, the details of adverse effects possible can only be discussed during your consultation. Some common areas Dermal Fillers treat
Loss of volume in this area can lead to dark circles, make you older and tired.
Over time, the ‘fat-pads’ in our cheeks lose volume which causes this area to sag and effect other areas of the face. Dermal Fillers in the cheeks are one of the most important areas to consider when addressing facial symmetry as adding volume to this area helps to define cheekbones and restore volume to the face for a more youthful appearance.
These folds start at the sides of the nose and run down to the corners of the mouth. As your cheek lose their volume, these folds become deeper. Addressing the cheeks may sometimes soften these lines, other times, both areas may need ‘filling’.
By far the most common area we fill today. Fillers in the lip can enhance as well as restore.
Dermal Fillers are able to fill the hollowing of temples due to ageing.
Dermal Fillers can be used to enhance the facial symmetry of males for a more squared jaw-line.
Adding Dermal Fillers to a ‘soft’ chin can restore facial symmetry by elongating or even squaring the face.
