What are Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
Made from a purified protein, Anti-Wrinkle Injections temporarily block the signal between the nerve and muscle to prevent dynamic wrinkles (wrinkles that are visible with expression) becoming static wrinkles (wrinkles that are always visible).
Most wrinkles form as a result of the continual contraction of facial muscles. These contractions are what create different facial expressions like frowning, squinting and smiling. These facial movements create dynamic wrinkles and over the years, these expressions become etched onto our faces. These static wrinkles may form anywhere on the face.
Results generally become visible after about 3 days, but will continue to improve over the next 2 weeks. We book all our clients for a complimentary review 2 weeks post-treatment to ensure the treatment has met your expectations as well as to ensure treatment efficacy.
Results may last 4 to 6 months, but many external factors such as metabolism and the area being treated will determine how long your treatment will last. During your consultation, your treating Doctor or Nurse will be able to advise more accurately how long to expect.
After your treatment, you may resume normal activities but you should avoid applying pressure or rubbing the treated area for at least 3 days to prevent the Anti-Wrinkle Injections ‘migrating’.

Common Areas Anti-Wrinkle Injections Treats
Forehead lines are horizontal lines that form through the repetitive use of your eyebrows.
Frown lines are the vertical lines between your eyes and are also known as the glabella.
Many reasons may cause one side of your brows to appear lower or higher than the other side. Anti-Wrinkle Injections can improve facial symmetry and provide a brow lift when needed.
Are one of the most common areas we treat and appear on the outside corners of the eyes.
Appear from the squinting of the nose muscle, appearing as horizontal wrinkles across the ridge of the nose.
Lip lines appear on the top and bottom lip and are visible with mouth movements.
As we age our chin muscle pulls upward creating facial asymmetry as well as ‘dimples’ in the chin. Anti-Wrinkle Injections can relax the chin for a more youthful and smoother appearance.
The masseter muscle is used for chewing and if overactive, can cause the appearance of a square jaw-line. Large masseters may also be associated with teeth grinding and Anti-Wrinkle Injections can assist with the severity of grinding. This also softens a squared jaw-line for a more symmetrical appearance in females.
